As part of the ceremony of the second edition of the "Firenze Entremuros Prize", Frida Escobedo was recognized as the Best Architect less than 45 years old.
"It is a very important recognition because it comes from colleagues, it's like a way of feeling that what I'm doing is not just working commercially, but suddenly something we're doing well that colleagues recognize is something positive for the profession. I feel very flattered with the recognition"
Escobedo's work has diversified in recent years, so that, through his office develops public sculpture projects, public spaces, furniture, objects, hotel or residential. This work has led her to the spotlight not only in Mexico but around the world as, among other projects of great importance, she was the first Mexican architect to design the Serpentine Pavilion in London.
